How it all began

We started out under the name Queens Park Rovers back in the 97/98 season.I formed the team and storted out the player's to play for use next I had to find a league for use to join so that is what I did.Knew a league that my cousin team were in Inham Nook so made a few call's to get the number and the person had to speak too to enter the league which was called the Suprme league and we were off Queens Park Rovers football career had began we only stayed in that league for one season was not a nice place to be in playing aginst so dirty side who were just out to injure people were not intrestead in playing football. So after our first season was coming to an end made the call to Eddie and we joined the Notts Combination league for the 98/99 season we started off winning our first game and there was no looking back after that we were top of the league for quiet along time.It was alway's between use Key Sports,Abacus,Old Mill and Le Grand for the league and we had some hard time's too.We started to slack off the rails abit after christmas and that cost use the league but we finished third in our first season which was not bad.

99/00

We went up a division to division 3 now as that was the last season of division5 we joined Old Mill,Le Grand and Abacus and Bridge Inn for life in this new higher division.Life did not go good for use that season and we started to find it alot harder this time as we also up against teams from divison 2 who had come down.We finished bottom that season we finished just 3 points behind Bell Fruit but saw from this that we were not quite ready for that division yet.

Name change

We started off the 00/01 season under a new name I renamed the team to Beeston Rovers and another new chapter of the team was born. But life did not start off well in this season we finished the league second from bottom just above Three Tuns the team had alot of new players in and had to rebuild the team so with the help of my mate Aaroan Ali he got mate's that he knew and there was some great players some of who players for other clubs in the league Lee Patrick and Tony Fawlett of Midland Reprographic played for use and both had great season Lee's was cut short for a while as he picked up a bad injury which was a big blow to the team but we carred on and you could tell we were missing Lee out on the left to deliver in tho's deadly crosses that he swings in from the left.Another great player we had was Robert Todtino or Tino for short who also went to Midland Reprographic but has since moved on and play's saturday football now. This player was solied for use at rb and also like Lee had a wicked cross that he would swing in from the right.

02/03 We had a major problem and had to rebuild the team still had alot of players from the last season but not many so brought in alot of new players. My best player would say was Rob Wardle a solid left back good and the ball and not afraid to go forward and take players on did not score many goals but when he did they were great goals. Then made a few more signing from a person who my dad knew who was going to take over as manger in came Wayne Pegg go solid centre back and a usful back up keeper too.I then brought in Brendon Key a good hard working midfield who has a wicked free kick on him was club captain and stamp his name on the team other new players were Simon Atkinson,Paul Cropley,Dave Cropley,Dean Howarth,Andrew Stanfield,Jullen Cullen,Willam Smith nick name Billy then added a few more with help of people already in the side and we had put together a great side did well but should have won more game's just did not have that killer tough we only losing by the odd goal and we were out playing alot of the top side's too.Our highest score of that season was against the Evening Post team but after we had beat them 11-0 or somthing like that they had pulled out the league so we lost the points and the goals too but that is just how things happen tho
